dishwasher cord through cabinet

is there code that forbids a cord from behind a dishwasher through the wall of the cabinet to under the sink

I hope not because one manufacturer makes their dishwashers with a cord and plug already attached. Their instructions are to install the recep. in the adjacent cabinet- usually the sink cabinet.

If the receptacle is right next to the cabinet and the hole thru the cabinet is large to get the cord cap thru it... I'd say its fine.
