Why do they (AHJ) require separate circuits for dishwashers and disposals? Disposal at 7.2 amps and they dishwasher is at 8.3 amps. These appliances have thermal overloads built in. To satisfy the AHJ I installed box cover fuses. Any of you seen this before?

Have you asked him to cite a code section he is going by?

There may be a local requirement.
