All I can find is "disposal is much safer than with CFL's" and "LED's are much more environmentally friendly than CFL's" and "made from 100% recycled material" and "Contains no mercury" and the like.

I have found no definitive "simply throw in the trash" or "landfill approved!" or "recyclable".

Are the LED's guys afraid to say it? Can they? Does anyone here know if you can chuck these in the trash even in large quantities and not violate any environmental laws? Can you send them somewhere for recycling?

Thanks!

im sure if they say they are enviromentally friendly then they can go in the trash can. i even throw my CFL's in the trash can :D i dont have much experience with LED lamps since they cost a lot

I would check with your local landfill I bet they don't want them in the ground. Our landfill recycles everything possible- ballast, lamps, paint, batteries, electronics, etc.
