Ok, we have (10) 2x4 fixtures & 1x4 extg fixtures that they are asking to be taken down, remove the lamps and ballasts and box them up for removal from an enviornmental company. These fixtures are @12' heights and located in two different areas. I took them off then then brought it to the estimator to apply hours. He put in .5 hr per fixture to do the above work. I thought that was light but I;m just a junior pee-on;). Just curious.

What do you think?

With a scissor lift and a flat floor, sure. BUT that 1/2 hour should not count getting the scissor lift to the first light.

Any other means, even a man lift, will add time. You won't be able to stack 4 or 5 lights on the floor of a Genie lift but no prob using a scissor lift.

Your heading mentions disposal of lamps & ballasts, but you make no mention of it in your post. Find out what you will have to do in your area. Can you take them to a landfill or find a haz waste facility that you have to take them to. Find out costs of that, loading time and travel time to and from. Don't just assume you can go to the landfill.

We have to box them up and the enviormental company will pick them up and dispose of them for a cost.

Make sure you accurately figure that cost into your job. Give exact #'s of lamps/ballasts to environ co. and get firm price in writing.
