Is it a normal practice to have a loop of 15 kV cables at terminationpoints? Das NEC have any requirements for clearance between termination points and MV cables? Thank you

Sometimes. Several common failure points of a MV cabling system are the stress cone assembly and the bolted connection from the crimp lug to the bus bar. If a failure occurs at one of these points it is sometimes possible to cut off the existing stress cone and make up a new crimp lug and stress cone termination using the excess cable that was left by the initial installer. Sometimes the excess cable is damaged by the fault on the first termination, so in these cases there is nothing gained by a loop of extra cable.

Thank you for detailed explanation. In my understanding ifloop to close to termination point it is good chance for fairer(to grand). Das NEC haverequirements about it(critical distance)?
