Distribution Equipment

I have spec that say " installing of distribution equipment" would the service transformer be considered distribution equipment? What is difinition of distribution equipment? Is the anything the give definition to common used elctricial terms, like what is schematic or what is a one line drawing/ Any in put would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There is no standard definition of that phrase, or at least not one of which I am aware. When I use the phrase, "distribution equipment," I am talking about everything downstream of the main service panel, up to and including branch circuit panels, but not including branch circuits. This might be worth submitting a Request for Information to the spec writer.
