I would like to know the proper way to Install HCF MC cable. I have seen it done three different ways . The method where the redundant ground wraps around the cable seem like it would crowd the connector and put pressure on the cable , the other manufacture recommendation is to just cut it off as it passes thru the connector. the last method I have witnessed is to terminate them in the box , and bond them to the box leaving the insulated ground to be tied directly to the receptacle.

I do prefer folding the bond back to secure the anti-short bushings when used.

Cut it off flush with the sheathing, nothing further is required.

I agree completely and if it's MC-ap then folding back the solid #10 aluminum conductor is a bad idea because the connector doesn't go on easily or for larger cables it won't fit at all.
