We typically use DLO/RHW/RHW-2 cable between VFDs and Motors. What we find in older installations is the pulling lubricant and DLO jacket react to create a glue-like mix; making pulling out old DLO very difficult.
DLO is difficult to pull anyway since the jacket is a bit tacky, not like THHN.
I seem to remember a type of DLO that was rated more suitable for conduit runs. Still had the flexibility, but had a jacket that was more conducive to pulling through conduit and not reacting with pulling lubricants.
Anyone know of such a cable?

I have found talc - baby powder - to be a very effective wire pulling lube for DLO and W cable. Makes the MCC room smell nice too ;)
