DMX Wiring - Exposed Connections

Hi, is it dangerous to have DMX exposed connections inside a light fixture? The dmx wires have crimps at the end that don't install into the phoenix connectors all the way and could potentially contact metal. Can this cause a short in DMX signal or any other failure/danger?

Short, yes; danger, no. DMX is a low-voltage RS-485 connection.

It's still sloppy construction and ought to be fixed.
