Hey guys trying to understand whi I didnt need any bond bushings today. Heres the scenario. 320 amp meter enclosure fed underground from poco pvc conduit. Meter then goes to disconect switch pvc nipple. punched hole in the meter enclosure. Pvc so no bond bushing needed. From disco switch to transfer switch with a ridgid chase nipple. knocked out holes in both disco and transfer. To me this would require a bond bushing or am I thinking wrong. Thanks for help. Please reference code art if you can

The nipple was "downsteam" from your overload protection, right ?
250.92 for service (ahead of overcurrent) and 250.97 for >250 volts.
Your application does not sem to fit 250.92 oer 250.97 or 250.98..so no bond bushing needed.

Only conduits containing service conductors require bonding bushings.

Ha! Caught the edit, before I spoke ! take a look at 250.97 if it was 320 V meter enclosure. :) good Show on the Edit...

250.92 Services... that in (B) push you over to 250.8.

ok now Im really confused it seems that services are the only thing that require bond bushings or >250v or telescoping sections of metal raceways. But I know for a fact ive had electricians in the past who made me put them on gutters for lighting branch circuits. 1 1/4 conduit punched on both sides was he flat wrong or is my terminology wrong. Cadpoint what edit I dont know what you speak of
