In many production home sub divisions around here I am called out for no power in the garage or den and the yard lamp doesn't work. this is usually after a big rain. Time after time I find UF run right under the sod to the yard lamp and it has shorted to ground. I end up running pipe and wire to the light and making good money for the fix but the homeowner is always the loser in this. should they try to be reimbursed by the original contractor. these homes are about 6 to 10 years old and its more than one contractor pulling this crap.
