First, do the calculation that you need done. Second, go to the print editor. Third, go to the insert menu and insert an illustration. It will bring in the entire floor area into an 8.5x11 sheet. You can change the scale and window the area that you want.

Hope this helps. I use this program daily.

Thanks for the reply laengineer. I errored in my wording(badly). I meant I can't even get this to do the calculations. I build my schedule and "place" and aim the fixtures I want, but I can't it to do the calcs after that. I'm sure it is something simple. But since you use it everyday, how do you get the program to the same scale as your plans? Also, is the X axis the height of the Pole in my situation? I am trying to calc out a parking lot.

Thanks,

Greg

X and Y axis are usually the "plan" axis and Z would be the height.

Do you have the basic or professional version?

After you place the fixtures, select "calculations" and "calculation zone" and "rectangular". Click on a corner of your parking lot and click the opposite corner to get an area of points for the calculations.

Then go to "calculations" and select "calculate".

P.S.

The print editor [Moderator's Note: Inappropriate word deleted]. If I have to print my results, I usually import into autocad or use a program called "Snag-it" by "TechSmith" to capture what is displayed on my monitor.

If the 3d view toolbar isn't displayed, select View, toolbars, 3d View. Clicking the center rectangle in this toolbar gives you a top view. You can also select side, front, back and angle views.

Go to this website below:

Lumen Micro

I think it's a lot better. I used it in College, and it's very accurate.
