Does code require jb aobve 100 cu in to be metallic?

What code section requires junction boxes over 100 cu in to be metallic? I?d assume 314 but can?t find it. Also, does this apply to underground junction boxes?

None that I am aware of as we use 12x12x6 PVC jbs. (864 ci)

This might be from what I posted on another thread --- which came from a 1956 NEC book -- doesn't apply to current codes.
