The code said entrance to and egress from working space is required for 1200 amp electrical equipment over 6 ft. Does that mean electrical room shall open to corridor? I have seen electrical room open to office, but i am not sure if any code against that. Please help.

The important point is that the worker needs a way to safely leave the area in front of the panel, if the panel starts arcing and sparking. The rule says nothing about what is on the other side of the door. If the worker safely makes it to the door, and finds himself in an office from which there is no path to the outside world, then the worker will have to remain in the office until he can return to the work area. He may be bored in the interim, but he will not be in danger from the arcing panel.
