Does this make any sense? Touchscreen 20W consumption, 1.2A

Below is a link to a Dell 22" touchscreen monitor that has a 20W power consumption 1.2A.

How does this make sense. I've noticed this with other computer power components too such as 65W power adapters at 1.5A.

good question. PF must be very low. or they are describing the max current rather than nominal. It is curious that it is described as 1.2 A for 100 to 240 V too. One would think it would be more at the lower voltage. I see this on industrial power supplies too.

I doubt it's PF especially for modern devices (which usually have PF correction), more likely its that nobody wants to put a rating of under 1 amp on a device.

(One amperage number for a 2.4:1 voltage range...... Ohm would have words about that.)

52w @ 100v = 1.9 amp
