Has anyone here wire up dollar general stores? I was wondering how hard their energy management controler are to wire?(it uses a Emerson E2 energy management system) And if you had a rough estimate on man hour it takes to do whole store?

I would think it depends on the size and type of the store. Ask the mechanical contractor to spec out the wiring requirements. Around here they do the control wiring we run the chases.

Its a 7000 sq foot build. we will run the wire, set the controler and do the hooks in the controler. Their is 5 lighting circuits, 2 door alrams, 2 motion sensors, 2 a/c heating units it cobtrols, and 3 refrigerator it controls. Has anyone used this system and is it hard to wire?

Rusty, we have done a few Dollar Generals. From what I can remember the energy management systems were fairly easy on the stores. Don't panic or be scared of it. Just take your time and go over the schematics and prints. I think you will find out when it is done that things were easier than you thought they would be.

I did one a number a years back. They were pretty scaled down then, and did not have the energy management system you describe. I believe we wired in a bunch of 2x4 lay-in, outlets along the outside walls, etc. Hardest thing was wiring the power pole. . We were sub-ed by out the GC, and the power pole was the only thing we were directly doing for dollar general. Took a long time to get paid there too, 90+ days...
