I've picked up a small commercial job for the remodel of an existing building to meet the needs of a DOT Lab Testing facility. According to the plans 80% of the existing electrical won't be touched as just a portion of this space is being remodeled.
I want to make sure that I'm not missing anything on this install in regards to proper code for this type of facility. I wouldn't consider this a health care facility from my understanding of the code. Are there any other special requirements that I need to be aware of?
The bathroom requires a solenoid valve to be able to turn access to the water on and off from a switch outside of the bathroom. I've never installed on of these - is there anything I should be aware of?
Thanks for your help.
