Joe, the download only produced page one of the contents. I have Acrobat 5. Any ideas?

Karl,

I have Acrobat 5 (Full Version) and got 709 pages.

Anybody notice the new Exception style? (see example @ 210.8)

:)

Joe, welcome to the forum. :) It is great to hear from you again and I hope you will stay to be a contribution. I know you have a lot to share with us and I want you to know that I have had a blast but crow doesn't taste good (I have had my share). I generally am putting my comments in from an electric utility viewpoint.

These guys are sharp so be sure of any comments you make or you will get a taste of crow yourself. I trust you will be in Orlando for the Diamond Jubilee.

Karl:

Send your email address to me at: joetedesco@joetedesco.com, and I will send the file to you.

Download the new Acrobat Reader 6.0 because it talks to you! Imagine earphones and someone reciting the code to you, what could be better!

I am now into my ? cycle since 1965 and when this time comes, I get excited and ready to do the review of the proposals again as in the past.

charlie: I prefer sausage and ziti, and canolis and Yes I will be at the Jubilee in Orlando.

PS: I could use a little help over on the Bob Vila Board under Electrical and Lighting.

Phil Simmons and his Son have been helping out, at least I can trust them, and you guys too!

Visit my new site at www.joetedesco.com we too sometimes get into long discussions about the code, as usual.

Joe,

Do you know if the NFPA is sending the ROP to the Proposers' that requested a paper copy instead of the electronic copy ?

Glenn:

Yes, they should be sent to those who checked that box on the proposal form. I checked all 3 so I too will get the paper copy.

I will add it to my library of reports, the first one being 1950 or so, with about 6 pages!

The biggest issue then was the Type S fuse.

I sure hope we will see someday the entire collection on a CD.

Are you going to Orlando?

Re: Download the PDF Draft of the 2005 NEC?

Joe,

I will not be in Orlando.

Reason I asked of the paper copy, is that usually in the past, I received the paper copy just a day or two after the "ROP to Mailing House" which was July 11, 2003 for this year, so it is more than a week late already for this year.

I called NFPA this afternoon.

ROP's will be mailed in approximately a week.

Update:

The paper book version of the NEC ROP is available in two volumes, both as thick as a NYC Telephone Book, and the 2005 NEC is available in paper book format.

You will need a dolly to cart them around. I have the CD that was given out in Orlando, and would recommend that users who have a computer try to get a copy from the NFPA.

:)
