I'm a bowling mechanic as well as electrical drafter and was curious as to NEC applicable to my machines. Nameplate rated 16A including a service receptacle. Drop cord from the ceiling, dedicated 20A breaker to each machine. Each machine has a breaker located in a rear mounted control box. The machine plug is in the front. Big Russel Stohl Twist lock. Wiring goes from a front channel to the back where there is a breaker as well as control switches for the motors. Machine consists of (3) 1/3h motors 1 of which is continuous duty while the other 2 are intermittent but can be on at same time. There is a 30" fluorescent light and a control chassis. These have been in place all across the US since the 50's. Can someone help me with basics on the NEC codes relevant to this situation?
