dry heat sauna

Wiring a dry heat sauna heater. 40ampere 220volt. Is an accesible disconnect required, or just my OCP in the panel?

Is the sauna within 50 feet and insight of the panel if not id say you need a disconnect

The question that should be asked is does a sauna come under the heading of fixed electric space-heating equipment? If so then then NEC 424.19 would apply.

will double check with my AHJ prior to wiring.
