Can I install a 15 amp 2 pole breaker on a 30 amp dryer receptacle? I just did a job where the HO bought a Miele Dryer, The dryer came with a factory Nema 14-30 plug, but is only listed as 208/240 15 amps...

We bought a Miele _washer_. It came with a 14-30 plug as well (yes, a _washer_ with a 240V plug normally expected on a dryer). The manual with the washer also listed it as a 15A appliance

One of the optional items that you can purchase for these units is essentially a splitter, so that you can plug both the washer and dryer into a single 30A 240V circuit.

I _believe_ (but was not able to confirm with the manufacturer) that these appliances are intended to be safely plugged into a 30A circuit.

...what does the dryer nameplate say?

If they are then they would come with 4 prong 30 amp cord or instructions to install one.
