The color makes it a conductor:slaphead::lol:I know that duct tape is not "listed and labeled" for use in a panel; obviously installed to prevent contact with live components. However, any ideas why? Could it be the tautness of the conductors at the splice? View attachment 6678
that was my guessI wonder if the tape was put on to protect the bus while wires were being pulled and they just forgot to remove it.
My guess is the guy wrapping those splices with black tape got tired of bumping his hands on live bus bar.

The one on the right appears to be labeled "Service Disconnect".Are there two 2-pole, 100 amp breakers on the same pair of stabs?
