I just installed the second dusk to dawn light outside and the photocell will not turn the light off during the day. Worked fine for a week. The first light i installed had a similar problem, it would turn off but not turn back on at night. Is this a strange coincidence or does this happen often? The manufacture of the light is econolight.

This may be obvious, but did you match the connections to the correct voltage? Are you trying to control 277v lights with a 120v photocell?

Does the photo cell window face the direct sun? That can destroy them. Many instructions say to point the window to the north to avoid that issue.
