Keep the same MFD. You can go up on the voltage rating but never down.
Unfortunately, the only place local to get capacitors is HVAC supply houses. I will have to order the replacements. I think I know the approximate size and will use that and try to match the dimensions listed on the online vendors site.Take the existing caps with you to obtain replacements, as higher voltage or MFD valued units may not fit in the capacitor covers on the motor. Even the replacement brand can affect the physical size. North American physical sizes can differ between Asian and European manufacturers. It's not a good thing when you have a replacement that doesn't fit in the cover or rattles around loose inside.
Because they operate at different voltages due to motor construction.I just noticed the start capacitor says 125V, and the run cap says 250V. Why would these be different voltages?
Try Grainger if there is one close, or Zoro. They are pretty fast at getting it to you next day.Unfortunately, the only place local to get capacitors is HVAC supply houses.
