I am sure this is something I should properly either know or be able to find in the code, but...
So the guy has a 150a panel in the house, with a welder recept in the garage, now he wants to put another outlet for a welder in the barn. Says won't be using both at once.
Are both outlets counted in the load calculation, or should I consider them non continuous?
Also the welder he's buying is a Lincoln thats rated 52A @ 230V **" includes a load being plugged into a convenience plug(provided on the welder) of 15A". Would you go with the nameplate of 52A which includes something being plugged into it, or derate it? He wants a subpanel in the garage so will have other outlets available.
thx all
