The last LPS i had to supply conduits for allowed it as long as the columns were complete.Only jumpers were put in. One to the arrestor on the roof, and one for the ground rod.The drawings called for it that way.

Make sure that you give some thought to the path the lightning will take. . In Medina County Ohio, we had a golf course club house that had the conductor from the lightning rods running across the sloped roof and then down the side of the building. . When it was struck by lightning, the massive surge went down the conductor and lit a path of fire across the wood shingles. . The building burnt down.

Imagine a surge of energy and heat going down the path that you're giving it to travel. . That should give you an idea if your path is a good idea. . Will your installation bring that energy into the building ?
