I am working a project for an arc flash analysis. In the system there is a generator. I have the information from the manufacturer for the submittal data.

Easy power is asking for X'd, X"d, T"d, T'd, Ta and Xd. I have values with the appropriate units for all but Xd. The data sheet gives me a PU and ohms value, but, Easy Power is asking for a percent. I have searched the internet and found examples where Xd is given in a percent, but, not not how it is derived.

Can anyone give me guidance on where to look, or explain where it is derived from?

Thanks

For a generator in the EasyPower dialog box, the only data you need is X"dv, X'dv, and X0v for an arc flash analysis. If you are doing another analysis where the generator decrement curves are needed then you need the other generator values which would be on the generator data sheet.

Typically for an arc flash study, the generators are relatively small standby generators that come with a breaker that the generator manufacturer has determined will protect the generator as well as other protective features.

As far as percent values: % value = per unit value times 100

Is this your first arc flash study? If so, is someone mentoring you on the nuances of a study?
