Is it safe to use an Eaton Classified breaker in their competitor panels? Do other competitors sell classified breakers?

It is safe to use classified breakers from any manufacturer in the panels that they have been classified for use in.
Hopefully this thread will help clarify....

Connecticut Electric makes some Classified breakers for some panels. Siemens makes a Classified breaker to retrofit into some Square D QO panels. But that’s about it as far as I am aware.
