Edison based LED?

I've seen a few of these on line and was wondering if anyone had any experience w/ them. In particular I'm looking to put them in some existing post lights at a multi unit housing development. If they work well I figure it will be a good investment for the owner.

The light is very directional. LED fixtures put out good light when the output is engineered to a specific fixture, but with the edison base LED's, that doesn't work very well. I think we're still a few years away from a good LED screw in replacement lamp.
