For any EDSA or SKM users out there, do you know of any pros or cons between the two analysis systems. Are there any significant differences in what they can each do or are they essentially the same, and which would you recommend and why?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I use SKM frequently but have never used anything else.

The only problem i have with SKM is that uses a localized component library, meaning that all components are stored on the end users hard drive. This is generally OK if you are the only person workign with the files. THe problem arises when a component does not exist in the standard library, a component must be created and added to the library. That newly created component is only availble to the user who saved it on thier hard drive.

Say you want to have someone else look at the SKM files, if there are custom components you have used and created, these components will not be available on another computer unless the other library is updated with the same custom component.

I use SKM now and have used EDSA in the pat. They are both good programs. I would have no preference.

James, I put the libraries on our office network and add/modify the library files so everyone can use them (point the project library path to the network). When you need to send your file "out", use the backup command and it saves any device from your library that is being used in that project into the backup folder so you can send it to whomever you like.
