a box or terminated on equipment within or supported by a
box, all equipment grounding conductor(s) associated with any
of those circuit conductors shall be connected within the box
or to the box with devices suitable for the use in accordance
with 250.8 and 250.148(A) through (E).
Exception: The equipment grounding conductor permitted in
250.146(D) shall not be required to be connected to the other equipment
grounding conductors or to the box.
Yes.Ok, but can strip the wire long attach to the box and then up to the bundle to wirenut? I am trying to keep my EGC count to five. doing this would eliminate another wire just to ground box.
Agree, yes. Remember that all EGCs only need be counted as a single wire for volume calcs.Ok, but can strip the wire long attach to the box and then up to the bundle to wirenut? I am trying to keep my EGC count to five. doing this would eliminate another wire just to ground box.
That changed in 2020.Agree, yes. Remember that all EGCs only need be counted as a single wire for volume calcs.
I found it for you / us - NEC 2020 314.16 (B) - My opinion ? Why change it if it's not broke! 1/4 allowance after 4 is not going to make any difference any how. That changed in 2020.
