Well the code says 60 amp 10 gauge then it jumps to 100 amp is eight gauge that's why I was wondering

Look at the left column heading in Table 250.122.

The 10 is for circuits having an OCPD that exceeds 20, but does not exceed 60.

The 8 is for circuits with an OCPD that exceeds 60, but does not exceed 100.
