On a long run where you increase conductor size for voltage drop do you increase your egc also? 250.66 or 250.122? These are long 30a and 60a branch circuits.


Determine the default wire size that has sufficient ampacity for the conditions of use, assuming the length weren't enough to require a change for voltage drop.
Determine the default ground size.

Determine the wire size you need, in order to curtail voltage drop.
Scale the KCMIL of the ground size proportionally by the ratio of KCMIL of the line wires. In no case does it need to be larger than the line wires, a situation you might encounter on high ampacity feeds.
