I have a 100kW inverter feeding a 480V three phase AC combiner through 175A breakers. What size copper EGC do I need and how did you arrive at that number?

Is it #6 (from Table 250.122 for 100-200A)? What does "ahead of" mean in this situation (it's an ambiguous term in any case)? It seems to me that the OCPD's are "behind" the inverter.

The combiner takes the output from two 100kW inverters and feeds the service through a disco with 350A fuses. What size EGC do I need from the combiner to the service? Is it #3 (from Table 250.122 for 300-400A)?

As far as I know T250.122 is it for all voltages. So yes a #6. "Ahead of" means the OCPD that is before the equipment being served. So a 175 amp breaker feeding a disconnect for an a/c would need a #6 egc pulled to that point. Breakers installed beyond that point would also follow 250.122 but the egc is based on the breaker at that disco.
