Egc?

With the pricing of copper today and pretty much all materials I'm trying to save a bit of money . Im doing a job where we are running 700 aluminum is it ok to run a copper egc with aluminum feeders I have some laying around

Why spend the money for the copper EGC and just run it in EMT and not worry about a wire type EGC.
