EH / steel toe boots?

I know that we have talked about steel toe safety boots here. My question is... do you know if all EH rated boots have to have a non-metallic toe for the EH rating? Thanks!

I have worn the same model of cat boot for the last 9 years, they are EH rated and they have a steel toe.

There are real steel EH boots, but I like the plastic toe cap because it's not as cold on cold days. Then again, I even put a piece of scrap carpet, cardboard, or styrofoam on the floor of a scissors lift in the winter to keep my feet warmer.

The EH rating has nothing to do with the toe so it dosent matter what it is made out of.
