Hey guys,

I have yet to pass the WA EL01 Admin Test. I pass the code portions just fine but the major loads calculations are a real challenge. Some of the questions state to " not include household loads", what does this mean? Anyone have any tips or even different study material they can pass on that has helped you? Thanks guys!

I had many students pass the WA admin exam using the Mike Holt exam prep, many of his questions are very similar to the WA exam. You need to study 10-20 hours per week, and do 100 questions as well
Also I suspect the questions in the monthly Electrical Currents are pulled from test questions.
And the examples in the back of the NEC are good for practice.
I am not sure about your question

IMO the 01 admin test is hard compared to many other electrical tests, but still not really hard. I didn't study and failed with a 6 out of 10 the first time. I reviewed the examples in the back of the NEC and got a 8 or 9 next time. However I admit I do come from an academic background and find these tests pretty easy. I would recommend finding a book with lots of example load calcs. I'm sure the MH book is good.
