installsed a 200A all in one meter main at the back of a customers house. I set the top of the can at 6'. when I came back to set finish the owner had a raised deck build around the back and side of the house. now the top of the can is 4' to the top and the top breaker is aprox. 3' from the deck. Is there a code requirement for a minimum height for a meter main?

Not for a dwelling, other than a mobile home. The only other issue you may have is with the POCO requirements and perhaps other building code issues such as restrictions due to flood and storm surge levels.

Well, if you knew about the deck or the deck was on the plans, you need to raise the meter main for the guy. If he arbitrarily installed the deck, he needs to sign a big fat change order if he wants tapped up.

In NJ, PSEG requires it to be 6'6" to top of meter pan.
