elec and gas same trench ?

Can electric service conduits be installed in the same trench as gas service conduits ? If not , Different depths? Can they cross ? any insite would be great. Mass electrical code here. thanks

If these are the utility supply lines then you would need to check with the local utilities for their requirements.

If these lines are not controlled by the utility the NEC does not prohibit gas lines in the same trench as electrical raceways.

This is an electrical meter relocation , we have to cross an exsiting gas line , maybe even run parallel a few feet.

check with gas company and poco or they might be one and the same.
Issue i see if if either needs dug up you have a problem not hitting the other.

The electrical inspector told us to use different caution tapes.
I will instruct the excavator to dig below the exsiting gas line.

Could you explain or enlighten all of Us as to what you will use, I'm thinking metallic strip tape over your runs? Do you have to re-flag the gas line and match their requirements as well?
