I am going to be putting in an electric boiler for a customer but I have never had any experience with one.

Has anyone out there ever installed one of these?
I know Burnham has a better reputation than Seisco but any recommendations?

Burnham is made from Cast Iron where as Seisco is made from a plastic poymer.

Electrical requirements are similar. 6/3 with a 50 amp breaker.

Any past experiences.

The boiler will be used for a heating loop in an attached cottage. Possible down the road, an indirect hot water heater will be added.

A Burnham is around $1700 whereas a Seisco is around $1000.

Better is a VERY subjective term, so subejctive that it is almost meaningless.

I'd be inclined to defer to the plumber who will be installing the boiler for you to wire in.

We've installed a number of them but not those brands. ARGO, ElectroIndustries, and Hydro Shark micro boilers. I believe the vessels on these are all polymer. So far no problems. Most of them are two to three runs of 6/2. Usually a boilermate is used in conjunction for hot H2O. One thing that gets tricky is one POCO up here uses collared meters for LMC. Now you have to supply a seperate 240 circuit for control boards and relay boards.
