I have purchased a Dayton compressor motor:
3 HP
16 amp
220 volt

it has 4 total wires coming out of the motor. the wiring diagram only says

P1 ungrounded (do i ground this wire to the frame of the motor) for CW rotation

T5 and T4 for line (does this go to the black, white or green wire)

T1 tape (I don't know if this means cap the wire or what)

I have no idea how to hook this up to the 10 guage wire i have which has a Black, White and Green wire.

any help would be most appreciated.

Ranger, I suspect this a DIY question. We only allow qualified electricans to post here.
Call a qualified electrician.
After all I don't write software.
But if feel you are qualified then PM me with your electrical qualifications and what edition of the NEC you have. Tip: the answer is in Art 430.
