Does anyone have a manufacturerer preference for this stuff (ease of install, reliability, easy to repair, cost)? I have a customer who wants to heat the tile floor in a 600 sq ft basement. Thanks in advance.

I have used the Sun Touch Product and never had an issue with it. Pretty easy to install. You need to fax them a floor plan and they will do the lay out. The only trick is learning the cut technique. A video is supplied with it--or use to be.

Same here, have installed a few of the Sun Touches over the last 4 years. No call backs so I assume they're doing fine.

I've used "EASY HEAT" for many years. It has given no problems and we have a good level of confidence in it. I have about 500sqft of it in my own house and it really makes the rooms feel comfortable in the winter. It's a bit pricey and you need to be there to make sure the tile setter knows what he/she is doing until you get level of confidence in them.

I've used Easy Heat and Nu-heat, drawbacks for both of these, Easy Heat is labor intensive but you can install any layout, Nu-heat is more expensive as a product but less labor intensive, but it comes in pre cut mats, so you end up with cold spots, but you can order customized mats, but gets expensive...
