Half of the pole lights I have seen have the #6 copper to the ground rod Connected to a mechanical lug mounted inside the pole and not connected to the equipment grounding conductor. The other half of the time I see the #6 copper passing through the lug and connected to the E.G.C . Which way is code compliant?
