Is anyone using either SKM Power Tools or ESA Easy Power software? If so, I would really appreciate your thoughts, opinions, preferences, experiences, etc. My firm is looking at purchasing one of the two packages, and at this point, all input is welcome.
We use SKM and the capabillities and support are fantastic. I havent seen Easypower speced on many design jobs lately, SKM or ETAP seems to be prefered. Not that there is anything wrong with easypower.
Not sure what industry your in, as this can make a difference on what the clients will request. Between the two choices, SKM is by far superior, especially when it comes to TCC curves.
I work for an A/E firm...we do a lot of healthcare, schools, commercial, and a bit of light industrial. We do have a need for Overcurrent Coordination, Fault Analysis, and Arc-flash studies.
We use SKM the support is great. I need a TC curve for item not in library I call them up and within a day or so I have them all set. You also can put them in yourself but no time. I have been using it for around 5 years now and love it.
