Hello I work for a Electrical Contractor is So Cal and we have spoken a bit about sending a proposal for a annual service contract with our close out packages to the owners of the major projects we complete. We have close friends in the HVAC industry and looked a model of their service contracts. The main thing I have noticed is that there are not many electrical filters that need annual or bi annual cleaning/replacement last time I checked. And most of the owners can have their maintenance people change their lamps/bulbs as needed, so is this a feasible business plan? Is anyone out there doing this? What is the benefit to the customer? how do you base pricing for this type of work.
