Electrical Conduit and LP Gas Line Crossing

In the past, whenever I've had electrical and gas (or water) utilities there is a specific guideline in the local utilities requirements of how they need the utilities separated. I'm working on a completely off grid project, where the LP Gas is in its own tank, and electrical is coming from generator not utility. This is a complicated project where there are residential cabins on site but the Federal Gov obtained it for Forrest Service members to stay while out in the sticks.

Can someone point me in the right direction of what the separation must be between two systems crossing? There is no realistic way to run parallel trenches, the systems must cross. I'm seeing 24" separation is a safe bet with electrical being the deeper of the two.

Do the Feds have any specs? If not, I reckon you can do what you feel is best.

I would recommend enough clearance to work on either, at least 12”. Practically, if digging with a backhoe, and a 24” bucket, then that’s your clearance. And a tip, bed in clean sand, 3” above and below.
