Is anyone familiar with this website? I pre-ordered a 2008 NEC Handbook on CD-ROM from them on December 14, 2007, and I still have not received it. I have sent them several emails, and left two voice mails, and they have not responded. Is this typical for this organization? They were advertising a reduced price by pre-ordering, and they would ship the CD when it is available. I know it is now available from many different sources, including the NFPA. However, since I did not pre-order from the NFPA, I will now have to pay full price for it.

acwservices,

I'm no longer involved with the company that was operating the store there, but I will see what I can do to help this get resolved.

I completed a transaction there on 3/24, and the payment cleared in your name. Just thought you ought to know, in case somebody's up to no good.

Marc,

I think you're confusing websites. Your order was placed somewhere else, and that was through me.

I received an e-mail today from Kim at ECN and I was told that the 2008 Handbook I ordered was on Backorder and that it should ship within a week or so.

I also received an email from Kim on 2/25/08 informing me that the product was on back order. Since I have made repeated attempts to contact them since then with no response, I sent an email this morning canceling the order, and I received an immediate response. I placed an order this morning from the website of licensedelectrician.com, which is owned by Bill Addis.

Received my 2008 NEC Handbook CD today from licensedelectrician.com. I would like to thank Mr. Addis for his great service- the item was received 3 days after I ordered it! I will definitely be using his services and website in the future.

Thanks a lot .I orderd mycombo package back in october and nothing yet. They could have at the least sent the heavier of the two ( the code book)that was in stock and sent the cd later.

RUwired,

I think my post may have been confusing- I did not receive the CD from electrical-contractor.net that I pre-ordered in December, 2007. In fact, I cancelled that order this past Tuesday, and placed a new order with Mr. Addis at his website, which is licensedelectrician.com. Three days after ordering from Mr. Addis, I received the item.

No, i'm just ticked that if the the cd's are now available, why did'nt i get mine yet.(from ecn)

I feel your pain. When I discovered that the CD's were available, I started harassing ECN for my copy that I had pre-ordered. It appears that there are quite a few unhappy customers with ECN...there is another thread on this forum under the electrical contracting section concerning them. These two threads probably should be listed together in the same category, but I guess that would be the job of a moderator? (Either the NEC or Electrical Contracting forum)
