I live in massachusetts, trying to find out if you need to install gfci protection for sump pumps, or will a single receptaxle do,also should they be on a dedicated circuit.Thanks for your input.
 
210.8 states that if you have a receptacle in the crawl space it has to be GFCI protected. Not necessarily the GFCI receptacle, but GFCI protected.

I am assuming the sump pump is in the crawl space. If it is outside you still need GFCI protection.

If it is in a basment it must be gfci protected:grin:
