Electrical Contractors License

Can an electrical engineer with a BS in electrical engineer apply for an electrical contractors license? How much experience is needed?

That varies from state to state check your local board or labor dept

Two years if your in NJ. In fact I belive you can pretty much take any inspector test as well.

Yes in Michigan, after successfull completion of the contractor exam.

The license would also need to be "qualified" by the full time employment of a master electrician.

In Iowa you would need to take the contractors test unless you can show you were doing electrical contracting prior to 1994 i believe
