Probably initials of some type.
You would be amazed at the practical knowledge base of some BSE graduates. They don’t teach you everything in a school. Especially how wire makes turns on poles or how to fix line transitions at turns or two way feed end points. Getting these to phase in properly and safely can be tricky, and the wire may need to roll a time or two through two or three horizontal to vertical or vertical to horizontal spans

Knowing the math and passing the tests is one thing. Putting it in practical application is another.
